Umbria is only 7 km far away from Tuscany, in the "Green Heart of Italy". On the south-eastern shore of Lake Trasimeno in the protected area called Parco Trasimeno. Easily reachble because situated directly at the lakesite road. Only 300 meters to the next village (bank, post office, pharmacy, food store(groceries), bar ecc.); only 3 km to the next golf course or to a little private airport; only 30 km to the town Perugia (capital of the region): from the regional airport about 3-4 daily flights to Milan. Centrally situated concerning culinary aspects: same distance from Montalcino, Montepulciano and from the Chianti region, as well as to Montefalco, Torgiano or Orvieto … not far from the famous sheep-cheese of Pienza, or from the well known "norcinerie" (sausages) or the delicious truffles, or the two corn (farro)of Monteleone di Spoleto, the risina (original peas) of Trasimeno, the lentils from Castelluccio, the red potatoes from Colfiorito... only to mention some kinds of typical local and traditional specialities. Geographically also well centred: in about one and a half hour by car you can reach the Adriatic, as also the Thyrrhenian (West) coast, Rome (~170 km) or Florence (~120 km), or also the forche canapine or the mountain monte Amiata for skiing. Many other historical places are located next to us ... (Todi, Assisi, Gubbio, Foligno, Trevi, Bevagna…)
